What if there's some amazing new programming language feature introduced in C++1x or Java 1.8, and Python 3.1doesn't immediately adopt an equivalent? The whole world will drop Python and switch to something else! It will be a unmitigated disaster! In fact, we'd better switch to another language right now, just to be on the safe side!
