ControlTier 3.4.8 released

The ControlTier project is proud to announce the release of ControlTier
3.4.8.

ControlTier is a cross-platform build and deployment framework and
toolkit. ControlTier coordinates service management activities across
multiple nodes and application tiers. It supplements and replaces
homegrown service management and deployment scripts with a
well-defined set of lifecycle commands that abstract the details of
various types of deployments. For further about ControlTier and what
problems it solves, please see our introduction[1].

ControlTier requires Sun Java JDK 1.5.0 or 1.6.0. ControlTier is licensed
under
the Apache License, version 2.0.

ControlTier 3.4.8 is the first ControlTier release to support Java 6 for
both

New since 3.4.7:

* Both the client and server now support Java 6.

* Workbench and the ProjectBuilder#find-objects command can now export
project.xml formatted data.

* The Maven plugin has been updated to support static commands. See the

Release Notes:

This is the first ControlTier release to support Java 6 for both the client
and
server.  We have resolved issues with the Jobcenter web application that
would
occur when running under Java 6.

Notable bug fixes:

* Conflation of Node name vs. hostname cropped up again in node-dispatch
with
  CTL and the integration with Workbench. It should finally be completely
  resolved.

* ProjectBuilder#find-objects has duplicate results: The find-objects
command
  will now only show unique results.

Notable Improvements:

* Java 6 support: Both the client and server now support Java 6.

* project.xml export: Workbench and the ProjectBuilder#find-objects command
can
  now export project.xml formatted data.  Either use the '-out <filename>'
  option to find-objects, or click the "XML" toolbar button when viewing a
  resource in Workbench.

* Maven plugin static-command support: The Maven plugin has been updated to
  support static commands.
