It's really scary with all those remote code execution vulnerabilities all around, anyone could have gain root using them by exploiting a NULL kernel ptr dereference. Thanks it's been fixed now for good. We all owe something to Brad and PaX.

In the Fedora updates for pidgin, farsight2, gupnp-igd & libnice it was only Pidgin that actually had a vulnerability. The others were included in the same update because they are required by the new functionality in the new version of Pidgin. It's unfortunate that Fedora's update mechanism doesn't allow the non-security updates to be released at the same time without scary alerts.
