Lisp NYC, "a group devoted to the advocacy and advancement of professional
software developers in their adoption of Common Lisp and associated
languages", has set up a web site. The site provides information on the
group activities and development projects, and has a short Lisp Business
FAQ. A mailing list is also available.
The "Lispniks" grass roots movement, as it has been jokingly defined,
originated in the momentum of the International Lisp Conference 2002 (ILC
2002). A few months ago a group of Lisp users in New York City, which
eventually became Lisp NYC, were the first to regularly meet in restaurants
and bars to enjoy good food, discuss their favorite language, and have fun.
Other Lispniks groups around the world have been forming since then.
