better than standards Posted Aug 3, 2009 10:31 UTC (Mon) by pkturner (subscriber, #2809) [Link] On first reading Linus’s comment, I supposed the topic was GCC's optimization that led to Fun with NULL pointers. It’s a lovely principle. As a sometime language-lawyer I feel conflicted about whether it should be used to censure GCC in this case.
