To me, the above sentences suggest that you think that women are somehow "inferior" or unable to withstand confrontation. I believe you're reading too much into what I wrote: I specifically avoided any words which imply gender. I know plenty of men and women who dislike confrontation. I'd like to see free software projects favor respect over rudeness, hostility, and personal disagreements. I believe that will encourage more participation from many people who currently choose not to participate.
