They're basing a release OS variant on a -pre kernel, huh? :-)

I do wanna toss some kudos, though... Concurrent, in the time of their
buyout of Perkin Elmer, were very helpful indeed in keeping the state of
Florida well supplied with Usenet connectivity.

How do you go about getting a copy of RedHawk Linux?

Ask Concurrent. RedHawk does contain GPL GNU/Linux software, but with some proprietary bits merged in, and heavily tweaked to their hardware.
