What is the plan for boot.kernel.org? I wonder if they are aware of system designer, an implementation of which is hosted at http://www.instalinux.com/

Except that I still need to have an optical disk or USB key to run instalinux right? It's like a 30MB download?
This sounds a little different. The next time btrfs fries Linus's laptop, he could just type a line at a BIOS prompt to PXE into a btrfs-friendly rescue image straight off boot.kernel.org. Very cool.
