Add short app description

The apps software announcements is very useful to track favorite apps or discover new useful ones.
Unfortunately application name alone is not always enough to infer its purpose. An one line description would be a welcome addition.

I basically agree, but then again, how lazy can we be? Clicking each name will rather quickly get you a description, and if not, it is the fault of the maintainer and his release notes, not that of LWN.net.

Having to write notes on what each application is / does would be most cumbersome.
