I'm excited too. I'm seeing an increase in PostgreSQL use where I work (web server hosting support), and I'm pushing for more official support.
Any other LWN readers going to PGCon in Ottawa? I'll be there!

I'll be there! I live in Ottawa, so it's really convenient... two coworkers and I are going to PgCon.
PostgreSQL is one of those open-source gems, up there with Linux, X11, Tcl/Tk, etc. that makes life so much better.
