What a horrible feature. A shining example of what Eric Allman -- no stranger to, err, dodgy stuff -- must have meant with his somewhat leaky screwdriver. ;-) (There actually is a zsh module that adds an alternative rm, but it has nothing to do with this perverse behaviour.)
