Is it possible to try out the beta release without burning a CD or bootable USB device? I was hoping to use the 'preupgrade' tool to upgrade from Fedora 10 (the upgrade process also needs beta testing, of course).

Yeah, you can use preupgrade.

Was the preupgrade bug from the anaconda in alpha fixed?

Not sure which bug you are referring to. If it was filed in bugzilla, you can refer

Hmm, on my F10 system preupgrade shows no option to upgrade to the beta, even when the 'show alpha/beta' box is ticked... 'Rawhide' is the only option.
