Not the only project that claims to be the former OpenSER

Just a note that this is not the only project which claims to be the former OpenSER project. OpenSER was renamed to kamailio, OpenSIPS forked shortly after that. The kamailio project also released their 1.5.0 release three weeks ago, and do the maintenance for previous OpenSER releases.
