gedit 2.26.0 released

gedit 2.26.0 has been released

gedit is the official text editor of the GNOME desktop.

This is the first release of the new stable series that will be part of
GNOME 2.26.

This new version features many bugfixes and improvements.

For end users the most notable features are the possibility to use gedit
in fullscreen mode and the ability easily change the syntax highlighting
for the current file from a button in the statusbar.

For plugin developers, there is now an internal bus system that allows
inter-plugin communication.

Last but not least, gedit is now available on MS Windows [*]
