It's interesting that flash doesn't work for you in Konqueror.

What are the symptoms?

Are you using AMD64? If so, are you using the 64-bit plugin? Also do you have konqueror-nsplugins installed, and are you using gtk-qt-engine? I know that the KDE3 version of gtk-qt-engine causes Flash to crash in KDE4, which I assumed was due to version incompatibilities, but it's possible that it just doesn't work with Flash in Konqueror at all.

Crashes and freezes.

32-bit (6 years old Athlon XP). Have nsplugins. KDE is v3.

Hmm, 'crashes and freezes' sounds like it's something completely different to the consistent, reproducible crash I had. Actually I never had any problems with Flash in KDE3 on a 32-bit system, sorry. I'd check for the gtk-qt-engine though, just in the (probably vain) hope that it might be connected...
