Qimo is a desktop
operating system designed for kids. Based on the Ubuntu Linux desktop, Qimo
comes pre-installed with educational games for children aged 3 and up.
Qimo's interface has been designed to be intuitive and easy to use,
providing large icons for all installed games, so that even the youngest
users have no trouble selecting the activity they want.

Hum.
The website is hosted on an IIS server, with ASPX pages...
This should logically be a set of package on top of Ubuntu (the same way as Edubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu, etc.), but the only thing available is some .iso files...
Lack some credibility as a Linux Distro, no?

holstein,
Deb packages will be coming, it's at the top of my list of things to do now, but the ISO had priority before. Our website design and hosting was generously donated to us, and you don't look a gift horse in the mouth as they say.
There is just me developing Qimo, after work and on weekends, and it's only our very first release, so don't be too critical.

This is a really great distribution! I had previously met mhall119 through his involvement with the Florida Ubuntu LoCo Team, but it wasn't until Michael and Michelle presented at FLS that I got to see the true affects that Qimo has on kids. There weren't that many children present at the Florida Linux Show, but all of them gravitated toward the qimo booth. The Qimo distribution is very well polished and is a direct reflection of the dedication that Michael and Michelle have put into it. My daughter has shared Qimo with friends at school, serious advocacy!!! +1 for Qimo!
