Perhaps a dumb question, why do two of the partitions have the same address?

mtd3: 04380000 00020000 "system"
mtd4: 04380000 00020000 "cache"

Which does not seem to be a typo, since that's exactly what is shown in the referenced link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443994

What am I missing?

04380000 is the partition size, not its address.
