Unnecessarily negative, or possibly just sarcastic. Debian is an excellent distribution that has spawned many others. Yes, sometimes they get tied up in internal issues, perhaps more than they should, but most other distros also have a less attractive face that is shown from time to time. Linux would be a significantly poorer place without Debian.
