The exceedingly grumpy editor's accounting system update

I've had the same experience. We had someone who had the full time job of taking paper forms and using a ruler to convert them to electronic format. Given, this was ten years ago, and things have gotten better, but even so, the IRS, 50 states, plus local forms means hundreds of changes per year.
