Btrfs aims for the mainline

The Btrfs filesystem has been under development for the last year or so; for much of that time, it has been widely regarded as the most likely "next generation filesystem" for Linux. But, before it can claim that title, Btrfs must stabilize and find its way into the mainline kernel. That could happen as soon as 2.6.29, but, first, a number of obstacles must be overcome.
