And that is part of the problem.

Nearly every Netbook has its own flavour of Linux. And they don't look or feel very similar. I really hope something like Moblin will become the defacto standard so that normal people will get more comfortable with Linux.

At the moment we have Xandros(KDE3.5), Ubuntu (Netbook Remix and generic), Mandriva(IDK), Linpus(IDK) and SLED(Gnome). Maybe even more...

Sounds a lot like the good old Unix days (when it was dying fast.).

Vendors need to come up with a some kind of standard if they don't want to pass on the Windows tax and want low return rates.
