Version 1.0.2419 of CodeLite has been
announced.
"CodeLite is a powerful open-source, cross platform IDE for the C/C++ programming languages (regularly tested under Windows XP SP2/3, (K)Ubuntu 7.10/8.04 Gutsy Gibbon, and MacOSX 10.5.2). CodeLite is distributed under the terms of the GPL license v2."

Looks nice.
So we have actually quite a few free IDEs:
Eclipse, KDevelop3, QDevelop, Code::Blocks, Anjute, soon Qt Creator and
KDevelop4.
And of course vim and Emacs.
Did I forget some ?
A comparison between them would be nice.

IDEs are a religious issue (like editors). Comparing them makes as little sense as comparing peaches and watermelons and asking which one is better fruit.
