Subject:  [Announcement]Device Driver DOs and DON'T document

All:

For your review and criticism, I'd like to announce a document which
builds on the Kernel-Janitor's TODO list as well as the kernel Mailing
List's posts to provide newbies and kernel hackers with a relatively
common list of DOs and DON'Ts when writing, porting or debugging a
device driver or kernel code in general.

This is my first take and I don't consider it complete or comprehensive.
However, I tried to cover all relative topics in the TODO list and added
code examples.

Further, I tried to cover other areas, such as sysfs, and compliment
most topics with code examples.

I would appreciate your feedback.

The document is located at: http://www.carrierlinux.org/robust-drivers

The name "robust-drivers" was the best I could come up with; I'm open
for suggestions on naming this document/effort.

Thanks in advance
