OpenSUSE 11.1 beta 3 available

The third OpenSUSE 11.1 beta is now available. "We all want openSUSE 11.1 to be the best release yet, and we need your help to get there. This release is ready for widespread testing, and we're encouraging everyone to download and test the beta release." For the curious, the project has also put up a set of excuses for why this release was late; it comes down to an extended power outage in Nuremberg on top of the usual problems.

Btw, its not a list of "excuses", its a list of things "Why does openSUSE
release on Thursdays" and we do that regulary this way.

Please consider it a insight in how we work.

Ciao, Marcus

Not sure if that was intentional, but "set of excuses" sounds unusually harsh, particularly since the bulk of Andreas' post was about the process used to build the distro, not "excuses" as to the lateness of the last two betas.

I thought exactly the same. It was a bit surprising, coming from LWN.net...

As strange as it sounds "Nuremberg" really seems to be the English form of "Nürnberg".
