Well, let's see... windoze users jaws drop when they see the compiz cube on my desktop at work. Even on a low spec machine, linux is doing things that neither microsoft nor apple has been able to provide on high spec machines.

As for azureus or open office, they may be offering similar functionality as existing products, but both are pretty useful IMHO.
