I've used nothing else for 6+ years, and it has served me well on the whole. But if it started falling behind or losing developer interest (which is already happening, according to Michael Meeks), it would be a very Bad Thing(TM). Let's hope that the appropriate combination of wide-open community control, and a few resources from Sun, can re-invigorate OpenOffice and speed up its development course. Oh, and its startup time :-)
