VYATTA COMMUNITY EDITION 4.1 and NEW VYATTA REFERENCE GUIDES
are now available
VYATTA COMMUNITY EDITION 4.1 - VC4.1
==============================================
VC4.1 is an incremental update to VC4 that fixes some issues and includes
some new, experimental features to test prior to VC5. The major new features
in this release, since VC4.0, include:
> Experimental: Intrusion Prevention
> Experimental: Anti-virus
> Increased support for SNMP MIBs and traps.
> 'copy' and 'rename' commands in configuration mode.
> Support for BGP MD5 > Support for the Sangoma S518 ASDL card
> Integrated drivers for the Sangoma A142 (dual-port) and A144 (quad-port)
serial cards, providing X.21 and V.35 interfaces.
To install VC4.1, first install the VC4.0 ISO and then perform a package upgrade
to VC4.1. see the Release Notes and How to Update for more information.
NEW REFERENCE GUIDES
================================================
Along with the final release of VC4.1, we've posted some additional
documentation that segments material according to functional area. These new
guides should be helpful for people looking for configuration examples.
Command Reference
Provides reference material for all Vyatta commands related to routing, QoS,
logging and usage of the Vyatta CLI.
High Availability Reference
Provides command reference material and configuration examples for features
providing high availability, such as WAN load balancing, clustering, and VRRP.
Security Reference Provides command reference material and configuration
examples for features providing network security, such as IPsec site-to-site
VPN, remote access VPN, firewall, intrusion prevention, and anti-virus. You
