Either a fix is found, or the driver needs to be reverted to its 2.6.26 form. Somehow. That, of course, assumes that 2.6.26 isn't affected. I haven't read the 2.6.27 changelog (yet) so I'm unsure whether the e1000e driver has changed between these releases.
