Excellent news. The chosen license isn't some legal-department special, either: it is (from reading the 'COPYRIGHT' file in the tarball) an equivalent of the simple, free terms of the Expat license <URL:http://www.jclark.com/xml/license.txt>.

Err, that's the "ISC license"

Whoops, I didn't RTFA well enough: the license is actually the ISC license <URL:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISC_license> (which is, in fact, equivalent to the Expat license, but differently worded).
