I tried to install their free trial. It did work when I fixed my bad harddisk, but I had to break the law and install dcom95 which requires me to have a valid Windows 95 license.
What is the point when you have to have a windows license anyway?

I think the point is that you can just boot into Linux and do all of your work there, instead of having to dual-boot and switch back and forth.

Not every app requires dcom95.
I my copies of Office 97, and also Acrobat Reader 5.1 under crossover.
If you want IE5 or 6 then that requires dcom95. But then, so does IE, unless it came bundled with office....

I just installed CrossOver Office 2.0 on RedHat 9 and was able to install Office 2000 and IE5. It did install DCOM95 (without asking me), but I don't have a license for Windows, nor did it ask for one.
