And, of course, we might just get kernel releases with fewer bugs [...]If only regression fixes are accepted, I would expect fewer regressions, but more other bugs. Still, that might be experienced as fewer bugs by most people. BTW, in my experience the kernel has no bugs, and all the problems I have come from other components.
