-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2008-7748 2008-09-11 11:01:59 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : fedora-release Product : Fedora 9 Version : 9 Release : 5.transition URL : http://fedoraproject.org Summary : Fedora release files Description : Fedora release files such as yum configs and various /etc/ files that define the release. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: This fedora-release update introduces a new set of Fedora Updates and Updates Testing repo definitions. These new definitions point to new URLS for our update content signed with a new key. This update also provides Fedora 8 and 9's new package signing keys. This update is a transitional update to direct users at the rest of the updates in the new locations. It will be superseded by further fedora-release updates at a future date. The Fedora 9 update also includes new versions of PackageKit and gnome-packagekit to better handle importing of our new key. If you are using PackageKit it is recommended that you reboot after installing this update so that PackageKit can get a fresh look at the new repodata from the new repo definitions. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Enabling_new_signing_key for more details. This update adds the ia64 secondary arch key as well as arranges GPG keys by arch and refers to them by arch in yum repo configs. This allows the secondary arch key to only be used on secondary arches and allows the fedora-release package to continue to be noarch. Also this update changes the commented out baseurl from download.fedora.redhat.com to download.fedoraproject.org. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Mon Sep 8 2008 Warren Togami <wtogami@redhat.com> - 9-5.transition - transition state between old and new key * Wed Jun 25 2008 Jesse Keating <jkeating@redhat.com> - 9-3 - Add ia64 key - Fix config file markings - Stop using download.fedora.redhat.com in favor of download.fedoraproject.org - Reference GPG keys by arch -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program. Use su -c 'yum update fedora-release' at the command line. For more information, refer to "Managing Software with yum", available at http://docs.fedoraproject.org/yum/. All packages are signed with the Fedora Project GPG key. More details on the GPG keys used by the Fedora Project can be found at http://fedoraproject.org/keys -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Fedora-package-announce mailing list Fedora-package-announce@redhat.com http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-package-ann...
