Don't forget OpenOffice Writer as a text editor. It does have lots of features, you know. While we're at it, how 'bout Windows Notepad running in WINE? Of course, we could then add MS Word based on that criteria, but I'm just being silly by now. I actually did use Notepad/WINE once to edit a text file, and I'm still trying to figure out what I was thinking (or consuming!) when doing so.... :-D
