Well, actually, I think Krita 2.0 will be more than likely to satisfy most his photography needs. I only wish I'd seen bug reports from the crashes he reports...

If it weren't for these two, I'd be already happily using Krita instead of the Gimp.

The trick is to export as an 8bit PNG and then use the gimp to do the final conversion. Takes no time. (you're using indexed PNGs for photography?)
