The references to Gilliam v. ABC caught my eye. Who would have thought the movie Brazil would have a legal effect on free software licensing? That decision apparently played a key role in the earlier (flawed) ruling, establishing that copyright only grants "economic" rights and not "moral" ones (e.g. the right not to have a ridiculous happy ending added to your movie).
