Anyone can play guitar...or hack the Linux kernel (C|Net)

Matt Asay covers the Linux Foundation's publication of a guide to Linux kernel development. "Well, perhaps not anyone, but navigating kernel development just got easier thanks to the Linux Foundation's publication of a guide to Linux kernel development. I don't think this means that I'm going to become the Linux kernel's top contributor anytime soon (unless, of course, they start accepting blog entries as code submissions), but it hopefully will make Linux kernel development easier to understand."

Nice work by Mr. Corbet -- clear, thorough, and easy to read. Useful information for
individual contributers as well as a good introduction for businesses thinking about
participating.

Does anyone know where to find a PDF of this article?

A PDF version is supposed to be in the works. If it doesn't happen soon, maybe I'll make one myself.

Does LWN.net provide the distributed authentication needed for the Linux Foundation site where
the doc is? I'd like to post a comment, but I have no interested in signing up for yet another
account.

But, the font is actively painful...

Unchecking "Allow documents to choose their own fonts" is your friend. :)
