MozillaZine reports

a mass forum posting and emailing campaign in opposition of Phoenix's
renaming to Firebird, have reconsidered the scale of their protest.

Well, I must say that before this news about the renaming of Phoenix in Firebird I didn't know a thing about the Firebird Database. For what I've heard now it seems it is a good product, and worth consideration, so maybe I will have to take a look at this. So in fact the debate around the renaming of Phoenix may have been positive for the Firebird database if other like me discover it thanks to that. Anyway it is true that now I understand the problem of many people about the name Firebird, which I found nice because it is natural to call phoenix a firebird, and it is consistent with thunderbird the mail client. So I used my brain a little (not too much it may fuse) and come up with "Flamebird" instead of firebird, which seems nice too, but I don't know why, I feel this name may bring some, hmmm, flames... again...
Anyway here is my incantation :
From fire to ash, from ash to flame The bird reborn should shine again
Sorry for bad poetry, I'm not used to it (especially in english which is not my mother tongue)
