I feel that "other OS" used in comparison is MS Windows. While it has great marketshare, I
have a gut feeling that Windows is an easy target. It's known to have rudimentary support for
devices, with more advanced things (like AP mode) coming from 3rd party software.
So, how Linux wireless compares to situation in *BSD? Especially OpenBSD is often praised as
having great wifi drivers and fast to support new hardware.

There are a number of drivers we have openBSD doesn't have, e.g. for Intel's newest chipsets,
Broadcom's hardware (RIP "bcw"), zd1211 I think, and maybe more. There's also one or two (the
atheros USB thing is the only one I can think of right now) they support and we don't.
