Once again I got confused and thought that cook was the one giving Miguel de Icaza the appellation "Mono man". I thought that was kind of a weird way to name him in the headline, inconsistent with LWN.net's normal editing standards. Later I noticed "(the Register)" at the end of the headline and realized that this was The Register's voice, and is totally consistent with their editing standards. I know that I've mentioned this before, but I'm posting it again because I think other people might be similarly confused. Perhaps LWN.net could reconsider some minor formatting change such as putting headlines copied from other sites into italics or quotation marks. Thanks for listening, Zooko

The LWN editors know better than to use names like that--My intuitive feeling is that most LWN readers know who Miguel de Icaza is and his relationship to the Mono Project. That being said, I think that the Register's use of "Mono Man" is awkward, but then they're targeting an audience for whom de Icaza is an unfamiliar name. It still reads funny!
