Mlview proxy

Some time ago, the Italian company, medialogic, worked on an X-compression proxy. The stated aim was to beat ICA.

This would be enormously valuable, but it seems the project has lapsed.
The site availability seems erratic also.

The other thing X needs is a way of proxying out to the VERY MANY
rdp based winterms.

The NX technology still seem to be actively developed, check www.nomachine.com
Supposetly the core libaries will be Free Software. Unfortunately they also offer proprietory server and client versions.
