Couldn't disinclusion be used as a stick? i.e. 'Fix these critical issues or your driver gets tossed'

Disinclusion Posted Jun 19, 2008 16:03 UTC (Thu) by corbet (editor, #1) [Link] That really only works in the time between merging and the first stable release thereafter. Once the driver is shipped, yanking it out will break things for users, and that's generally considered to be undesirable.
