So can you please join the -stable review list to improve this situation? Or are you just out
for blood and don't really want to _improve_ the situation?
I'd be happy, if you'd review my patches and point out (security) errors in the patch or
patch-description, that I didn't think of.

Well, it's not a mailing list AFAIK. It's a list of CCs that the -stable patches are sent to
for review. Just ask greg, if you want to be added.

It's not a mailing list, it's just a list of people who automatically
receive the patches planned for next stable release when they are sent
to LKML. I asked myself to be subscribed because it was hard to spot
those in the huge LKML noise. It helps me track fixes which I may have
to backport to 2.4, and maybe one day I'll be able to contribute back
by spotting bugs before they get merged.
All you get is 100% public, it's just a convenience to avoid polling
LKML. If you or Brad have things to add to the patch descriptions,
it might be a good idea.
