Acer likes Linux for laptops (c|net)

I am not sure if many of you understand the ramifications of Acer and Asus rebelling against
Redmond.  Taiwan pretty much controls the PC end product.  The AT and ATX clones they built
help make the PC industry.  Taiwanese were and, perhaps, still are staunchly behind Redmond.
Should that change, as there are indications that it might, Linux could gain ground very
quickly in  the desktop world.
