Thanks - a lot! - for the lucid and clear-headed analysis of the situation and ms's business
strategy.

In the replies of some people to you there's a lot of wishful thinking - I can understand and
do sympathize with it, problem is it doesn't help in the slightest bit. Only if you look
unprejudiced and try to see things as they simply happen to be.

This coming from a dual-booter who more and more boots into Linux and (almost) adores Mr.
Torvalds - another fine example of level-headedness.
