In defense of Firefox

I am not sure that i have seen it said anywhere, but firefox 3 has increased the default
history lifetime from 9 to 180 days. This is vastly more data that the old history system
probably would not scale to.

Has anyone tried reducing the history life time, so see if that improves performance?
