I just tried flashblock. I can't be happier :). I used to see heavy CPU usage when using flash, now its pretty much gone. I don't need multi core anymore :). Thanks for the tip.

There are far too many flash things that start immediately. So I'd click a link, switch tabs, read some email, write a bit of code, work on a puzzle a little, and come back to the first tab to find that I've missed the whole thing, whatever it was.
