Seriously, though, it's way easier to write "OMG WTF LINUX IS REALLY HARD AND WE HOLD YOUR HAND" marketing than to actually write up a Customer Win as an example of what an embedded vendor can do for its customer. Customers don't like to give permission, and by the time a problem is hard enough that it requires an embedded Linux company's Solutions Engineer (or whatever they call them) to save the customer's project, it's hard to explain in enough detail.

So, the embedded Linux industry could really stand to stop feeding the trolls in advance, and communicate about its products and services better.
