ANN ARBOR'S LINUX BOX CTO MENTORS STUDENT PARTICIPATING IN
THE 2008 GOOGLE SUMMER OF CODE PROGRAM
OpenAFS - A Network Distributed File System
ANN ARBOR, MICH. - April 28, 2008 - Ann Arbor-based Linux Box
Corporation is pleased to announce that it will be participating in
the exciting 2008 Google Summer of Code on behalf of the OpenAFS
project (http://openafs.org).
Matt Benjamin, the CTO of Linux Box Corporation, will be mentoring
Andreas Matsikaris implementing per-file access control lists for
OpenAFS, one of 5 OpenAFS projects selected for funding in the 2008
Google Summer of Code.
This is the fourth year of Google Summer of Code - a program that
has brought together over 1500 students and 2000 mentors from 90
countries worldwide, all for the love of code. This year, Google is
welcoming 1125 student contributors and 175 Free and Open Source
projects into the program. You can find out more about each
participating organization and abstracts of their accepted students'
proposals by visiting each organization's page, below. We'll be

OpenAFS is a distributed file system product, that offers a
client-server architecture for federated file sharing and replicated
