Scheme Weekly News for 2002-06-10
Round-up of news and announcements related to the Scheme programming
language. Now it's weekly... or at least, that's the aim. This
should be published in multiple formats on the web soon, all being

PLT Scheme v200alpha19 Release
PLT have released a new alpha version of their Scheme environment.
It is mostly good enough for real usage, but students and teachers
are advised to stick with v103 for a little longer. Progress
continues apace: the CVS exp tag is already on at least alpha21...

SRFI-27 Goes Final
The 27th Scheme Request For Implementation has been marked
as Final. This one concerns random number generators.

Portable Scheme Debugger Seeks Caretaker
This mature project to provide basic debugging facilities for many
Scheme systems is seeking a new maintainer. Pertti Kellomäki
no longer has time. Please get in touch if you do.

SWIG 1.13.12 Release
The Simplified Wrapper and Interface Generator has had a new
development release. This remarkable tool reads C and C++ header
files and generates wrapper code for other languages, including
Guile and PLT's MzScheme. New features this release include C++
namespaces, better template support and improved documentation.
