This article is on the LWN front page because I asked PJ to write it. Like it or not, copyright issues and the real meaning of "fair use" are relevant to the work we do. This case raises some interesting questions in that regard, so I asked for a closer look.
I do agree that a heavier editorial hand could have been applied; that is my fault.
